Each classroom is led by a certified lead teacher and supported by a qualified assistant teacher. Our low staff turnover and commitment to ongoing professional development ensure consistency, expertise, and warm, trusting relationships with every student.
Our Judaic curriculum introduces children to Jewish culture, holidays, and traditions through music, stories, and hands-on activities. It’s designed to build a sense of wonder, belonging, and respect for diverse backgrounds.
We view parents as committed partners with active engagement in their child’s education. Through regular communication and engagement opportunities, we build strong connections that support developmental milestones at both school and at home.
Our campuses are clean, secure, and intentionally designed to create a stimulating environment that sparks creativity and independence, crucial for a child's life. Classrooms and outdoor spaces are age-appropriate, well-maintained, and filled with opportunities for hands-on, experiential discovery.
Need-based scholarships are available to help families access high-quality early childhood education with affordable tuition. For more information on how to apply, please contact Julie Cameron at Julie.Cameron@jewishtampa.com.

Mark Horowitz, Director of the JCCA Sheva Center, speaks with parents about innovation and best practices in early childhood education at Back-to-School Night.
JCC Preschool serves children from 3 months to 5 years, offering infant care, toddler daycare, preschool, and Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK). Each cohort receives tailored, developmentally appropriate activities.
Yes! Florida’s VPK is free for eligible four-year-olds, and JCC offers priority enrollment and extended-day options for families needing longer academic hours. Give us a call, and we can walk you through how the program works.
All lead teachers hold a college degree or state certification in early childhood education. Assistant teachers are certified or working toward certification. Staff stay long-term, thanks to ongoing training and low turnover.
Our curriculum blends structured learning with play-based exploration, social-emotional support, and optional Judaic studies. Discipline is handled with consistency, empathy, and positive redirection.
JCC maintains small class sizes (typically around 1:6 to 1:7 for preschool-aged children) with two teachers per room. Daily schedules balance free play, circle time, outdoor activity, and structured learning.
We enforce secure entry procedures, staff undergo CPR and background checks, and we use a parent communication app to share updates, meals, naps, and activities in real time.
Visit during operating hours, ask about accreditation, licensing, fees, flexibility, meals, illness policies, and touring experiences. Trust your gut—some of the best fits come down to how welcome you feel.
